International Women's Day IWD has been observed since the initial 1900's - a time of great development and disorder in the technologically progressive world that saw thriving people growing and the increase of radical beliefs. International Women's Day is a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity. No one administration, NGO, aid, firm, educational institution, women's network or media hub is only accountable for International Women's Day. Many organizations declare an annual International Women’s Day melody that supports their definite agenda or cause, and some of these are adopted more widely with relevance than others.
The tale of women's struggle for fairness belongs to no single feminist nor to any one society but to the shared efforts of all who carefulness about human rights, says world-renowned feminist, journalist and social and political activist Gloria Steinem. Thus International Women's Day is all about union, festivity, likeness, support and action - whatever that looks like globally at a local level. But one thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continuers to grow from strength to strength.

How Colors Represents International Women's Day

Purple is a color for symbolizing women. Historically the combination of purple, green and white to represent women's equality devised from the Women’s Social and Dogmatic Union in the UK in 1908. Purple means justice and dignity. Green represents hope. White represents purity, but is no longer used due to 'purity' being a contentious concept. The introduction of the color yellow representing a 'new dawn' is commonly used to signify a second trend of feminism. Thus purple with green represents traditional feminism, purple with yellow represents advanced contemporary feminism.
