WHAT IS IMEI

The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique number to recognize Mobile Phones, GSM as well as some satellite phones. Frequently Mobile Phone have one IMEI number, but in dual SIM Mobile Phones are two. IMEI number consist of 15-digit numbers.

The IMEI is individualy used for recognizing the device and has no eternal or semi-permanent affiliateion to the subscriber. IMEI Number is used by the GSM network to recognize valid devices and therefore can be used for discontinuing a stolen phone from accessing the network in that country.

HOW TO CHECK IMEI IN MOBILE NUMBER?

You might need to discover your IMEI number if you want to unlock your device to use with other networks, or for some insurance policies. The IMEI number can be displayed on the screen of the Mobile Phone by dialling *#06# into the keypad on most Mobile Phones.  It must also be printed inside the battery compartment of the phone.

 

IMEI ON IPHONE & IPAD

First, go to phone settings 
Then select the "General" 
In final step find “About" field you will find your iPhone IMEI

In some iPhone you can check the IMEI number on SIM card tray. In the case of CDMA network there is also a MEID number.

In some iPhone models IMEI number is engraved on the back cover. If you need to check MEID number, it will be the same number as IMEI without the last digit.
