In this post I am going to share a Lecture on Resumes and Cover Letter, which is a lecture no.3, and it's provided by Dr. Zahid.A.Memon.  I have written short lecture here, for complete lecture you will get download link in the last of this post.

What is Resume?

A resume is a summary of relevant fact about you that show how perfect you are for the job you are looking for. A resume is need to be a specific for each particular type of job. Actually Resume is a marketing tool.

Resume must Answer Following Questions:

1. Why are you submitting your resume (Objective).
2. How does your education and experience fit for that job you are trying to apply for (Education and Experience).
3. How well have you done it. (Accomplishments and Achievements).
4. What, Where and When have you done it (Work history).
5. Who can verify all the above (Reference).

Resume has a one goal that is get you to the Interview.

Steps for Building Resume:

1. Learn about the employer and job (Research).
2. What do you have that they want (Your Personal Fact).
3. What is a best way to tell them (Resume Format Choosing).
4. Write the actual resume.
5. Edit. 

What is Cover Letter?

Cover letter is one page document that provide that Deliver surplus or extra information on your skills and experience.Cover Letter deliver detailed information on why you are qualified for the job you are applying for. Cover Letter must send with a resume when you are applying for a job. Because it tells the employer that what kind of job you want and focuses on how your background is relevant to that job. Cover Letter shows employers that how you fit company's needs. It must be well written and interesting cover because it's your opening impression.
